31 Day Fat Loss Cure - The Truth Exposed

Are you afraid of wearing nice, tight fitting shirts or dresses because of your protruding belly? Do you hate going to beach because, even if your arms and legs look fit and trim, you still would not look good in a pair of bikini swimsuits or board shorts? If you are tired of all the exercises made specifically for this problem area, get the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure.

The adipose tissues around your middle are the most persistent. You can do several kinds of crunches and sit-ups for months and feel utterly dejected that there are very little changes happening.

Luckily, there's 31 Day Fat Loss Cure. From the name of the book itself, you will see amazing results in just thirty-one days. The program is designed and written by Vic Magary, a former military man and a Taekwondo champion. With his background, you can be assured that he knows what he is talking about.

The first part of this remarkable instructional guide talks about diet modification. A lot of people think that dieting means eating less. However, Vic Magary believes that dieting means choosing the right kinds of food to eat. It provides tips on what to eat and how you should prepare your meals.

For instance, it talks about drinking water only. Other beverages contain tons of calories, sugar and artificial ingredients. Conversely, water has zero calories and has the ability to support your overall health. One of the simplest pointers that he has for his clients is to go for fresh produce all the time. Processed food should not be an option because of all the synthetic components it contains. When you eat right, you will feel good about yourself too. Soon, you will find that you are making the correct choices when it comes to your lifestyle as well.

But don't think that this guide is all about cutting down on sweets and fatty foods. You also need to sweat out a bit and work out. His weight loss program is divided into two levels. You can start doing simple workout routines which are more suitable for beginners. However, you can do the more complex exercises if you think that you can handle these already.

Vic Magary does not discount all the exercises that you are familiar with and are currently doing. Those lunges, squats and pull-ups are effective as long as you are doing it right. If you are not, you are wasting your time. Actually, this guide is very much like having a gym instructor except that you would not be spending hundreds of dollars on memberships and monthly gym fees.

Vanity aside, remember that if you think that you look good, you will feel good too. With the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure, you will feel more confident, not just about your appearance, but the way that you carry yourself and deal with other people.

Should You Decorate for the Holidays?

We're coming to a very busy time of year holiday-wise. And if you usually decorate for the holidays, you may want to continue the tradition even if your home is on the market. And that's really okay, as long as you keep some guidelines in mind.

First, Halloween can be very tricky. No, it's not really a 'holiday', but many people go all-out in decorating their homes. That may be a little off-putting to some people, so we suggest avoiding the Halloween decorations and focus instead on fall decorations. There are lots of wonderful ways you can bring color, life, and the season into your home. Mums are always an excellent idea because they bring color to the yard at a time when color is fading. A pretty pot or two by the front door is always a nice addition as well.

Pumpkins are another great fall decoration, even without being carved. Use them in an outdoor arrangement with the mums, or bring them inside to decorate the mantel. Add a pretty fall picture and some bittersweet and you have a design that will take you through Thanksgiving. It will add the colors of the season to your mantel, drawing your potential buyers' eyes to your fireplace, a great selling feature of the house.

Colorful gourds are another way to bring some fall color inside. Place a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes in a basket or bowl, add some candles, and you have an interesting centerpiece. What could be simpler? And then for Thanksgiving, all you have to do is add colorful place mats and napkins. Although you may be tempted to leave these out all the time, be careful about doing that. You don't want your potential buyers to be distracted by your table and not see the beauty of the house!

If you celebrate Christmas, you may need to down-size your decorations if your home is on the market. Keep it very simple, and limit the amount of time the house is decorated. White lights are best, with a simple wreath on the door or above the mantel. Using herbs for the wreath is a nice touch since the smells will welcome people into the house. If you do have a Christmas tree, keep it up for a shorter period of time - no more than 2 weeks.

Just because your house is on the market doesn't mean holiday decorating is a no-no. Just keep it simple, tasteful, and appropriate for the season and you will be fine.

Long Path Trail - 347 Miles of Hiking Through the Wilderness

Long Path is a 347 mile-hiking trail that spans through New Jersey and New York. The path runs through Harriman State Park, the Hudson River Valley, the New Jersey Palisades, the Catskills, and the Minnewaska State Preserve. If you are an experienced long-distance hiker, the path does allow for a complete through trip although it may prove to be difficult in some areas such as Orange County. The trail is more commonly used for day trips or short overnight trips starting and ending at various points on the trail.

The Path

Starting in Fort Lee, on the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge, the path spans north to John Boyd Thacher Park near Albany. Long Path is marked with light blue trail markers that tend to lean towards aqua or teal.

Picking the trail up in the Catskills or in Harriman State Park is ideal if you would like to hike off road. During our review of Long Path, we started our hike off of US 6 Westbound a few miles west of the Bear Mountain Bridge. There is a sign on US 6 for Long Path that directs you into a small parking lot where you can park your car and unload your gear.

After leaving the parking area, the path takes you up on a moderate climb up Long Mountain. At the top you are greeted with some breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Hudson River Valley. The top of the hill is dedicated to Raymond H. Torrey, a hiker who was instrumental in the creation of the trail.

Difficulty

Long Path ranges from moderate to strenuous in difficulty, although Long Mountain off of US 6 is more moderate than strenuous. Hiking during the winter months tends to be more difficult due to the small patches of ice on the trail. The trail is mostly cleared and at points even lined with logs. Compared to other stretches of Long Path, the section by US 6 is rather mild in difficulty.

Eating With Allergies - Forget Those Cardboard Food Substitutes and Enjoy Nearly Normal Food Again!

Millions of us deal with food allergies or intolerances every day. Problems can range from the simple to the severe, but no matter what the type of food intolerance, it affects every social aspect of your life. If you or someone you know struggles with food allergies or intolerances, you already know that ordinary things like dining out, parties, business luncheons and family events can become a nightmare when you have to avoid eating what is offered, and make excuses for being rude.

Another common problem we share is finding food that actually tastes good. There are plenty of food substitutes out there on the market, but unfortunately, they are either far too pricey or they don't even resemble the real thing in flavor or texture. There is hope though! Don't think you have to resign yourself to a life of bland "special" foods anymore, and forget about enjoying meals, both at home and out!

As someone afflicted with celiac disease, an autoimmune disease which causes a severe reaction to gluten (one of the most common ingredients found in Western foods), I've struggled with finding food that will keep the painful and embarrassing symptoms at bay, but still tastes good enough to serve to others. Fortunately, since awareness of food allergies and intolerances is on the rise, you can benefit from fabulous recipe experimentation done by others who share in your restrictions. There are great resources available now in book form and on the Internet for nearly every gustatory limitation.

Here are some of my easy tips for gluten-free eating:

Avoid mixes and recipes which use too much rice flour - it makes the food taste gritty and leaves an aftertaste. Add dairy or soy yogurt to your recipes for moist, non-crumbly baked goods. Applesauce is a great fat replacement that has the added benefit of holding your gluten-free goodies together. Be sure to check ingredients for hidden gluten - as an example, Rumford baking powder is gluten and alum free, while Calumet is not. Many cooking and baking sprays also contain flour, so check cans carefully while shopping.

You can also take steps to enjoy social eating again. Many restaurants and catering services are now making accommodations for food allergies and gluten intolerance - don't hesitate to ask your neighborhood food businesses whether they would offer choices like this. If you take part in business luncheons, it's a good idea to let the meeting planner know about your intolerance ahead of time. Chances are, they'll be happy to make accommodations when they know in advance what to expect.

For parties and social gatherings, why not offer to bring a dish to share? You can introduce everyone to gluten-free or allergy-sensitive food, and you'll know there will be something at the event you can eat, so you won't feel awkward or left out. Dealing with food allergies and intolerances takes a little bit of extra preparation, but it does not have to restrict your life. Happy nearly normal eating!

A Brief Biography of Rene Boissevain the Agate Adventurer and Creator of The Crystal Caves Museum

In 1964 myself (René), Nelleke my wife, and our daughter Iefje emigrated from Holland to Australia. I was 29 years old and Nelleke a few years younger.

We choose to live in the tropics of Far Northern Australia, a place unknown to many people around the world.

Cold weather and a longing for adventure was the main reason to leave The Netherlands. We found a job in the tobacco fields. During that time we met a guy from Macedonia and he introduced us to a place called Agate Creek. I had never even heard the word agates before. This was my first introduction to the world of semi precious stones and in particular agates.

In later years, 1965 to 1968, we went to Agate Creek with an old Nissan Patrol. It had very primitive suspension, there were terrible road conditions and getting there took two full days.

Not many other people were there, digging for these potato looking treasures. The so called surface material was already gone by then. To dig a hole up to 3 meters with pick and shovel in dry hard soil was hard work. The heat, the millions of flies and always being short of drinking water, were the harsh circumstances we had to cope with. But the rewards were so exciting.

Digging for the agate nodules was something that was not for the so called "city slickers"! But coming home after 12 to 14 days to Atherton with bags full of agates made up for all the blisters and sorrow, despite the fact, that only 30 to 35 %, after cutting, are good for collectors world wide. We are very, very selective and sort out the ones with flaws, fractures, uninteresting patterns and large crystallizations in the center. But the ones that are good are so beautiful in colour, patterns and design, that it is not easy to find comparison with other agates elsewhere in the world. Mother Nature did a wonderful job!

A very interesting book about agates in general, including Agate Creek agates is available from http://www.agate-nodule.com/category/publications

These days Agate Creek is still a very interesting place to visit and is far more accessible than in the old days. Now, there is a camping ground, fresh water and lovely people to point out places, where you still can dig up some agates.

In 1996, Nelleke and I, with the two girls went back to The Netherlands to try and sell the rough agates. It was not a smart move at all, as the Dutch people did not know what they were and what to do with these "Rocks". What now? I decided to start making jewelry from the agates. That worked and we start making a living again. In 1969 we opened, with borrowed money, a Museum called "De Oude Aarde" (The Old Earth) in a place called Giethoorn, near Zwolle.

Although not ours anymore it is still one of Holland's most interesting mineralogical Museums. A must if visiting in Europe.

In 1977 we returned with the 3 girls to Northern Queensland, to our beloved Atherton Tablelands. After 3 years taking it easy I decided to start another museum. This time a-dream-come-true fantasia museum, to awaken people to the phenomenon of crystal formations from around the world. With financial help from Australia's development bank I build a spectacular semi-underground simulated cave museum, an adventure land, a fairytale for all age groups. Visitors are supplied with a miner's helmet with light and a catalogue. To complete this mini-expedition takes about an hour. It's been the biggest success in my life. Visitors from all over the world have visited this exciting and at the same educational cave-museum, with its incredible collection of the most spectacular specimens from around the world on display. Many of the larger specimens are free standing and can be touched. This is much appreciated as you can read regularly in our visitors book.

The creation of "The Crystal Caves" took 14 moths to complete, with the help of a dedicated group of 5 fine people. The grand opening was in 1992, when the Honorable Minister of Tourism, Mr. Bob Gibbs flew in from Brisbane to perform the opening. Television, newspapers and other media were all there to support the opening and marveled at the wonders from deep down in our Earth. You can see picture of the museum at http://www.crystalcaves.com.au/ .

The remaining agates, those that were shipped to Holland, were returned to Australia in 1977. Combined with the agates we left with friends, we are now selecting, cutting and polishing them after all those years! You will find in our new web site http://www.agatesaustralia.com only the best of Queensland agates for sale.

Twitter Tips - How to Link to a Picture on Twitter

There are several tools you can use to link to a picture on Twitter. In this article you will learn about the five best tools to do that, and learn why these tools are beneficial for linking to pictures directly linked to your Twitter profile. The five tools I recommend are these:

Twitpic - the most well-known image sharing service for Twitter. TweetPhoto - also containing geo-tagging, stats and Facebook integration. TwitGoo - which integrates with Tweetie for Mac and TwitterBerry running on Blackberry phones. PikChur - allowing you to share to Twitter, Friendfeed, Tumbl, Facebook and Flickr in one go. Yfrog - designed with straightforward and quick and intuitive use in mind.

When I first began using Twitter I mostly stuck with Twitpic, but I must say Yfrog has also been very useful. These five tools are useful for all Twitter users since you can login using your already existing Twitter account. Having to set up separate accounts with each new tool you add to your arsenal of tools can end up being rather cumbersome, so that idea is important - and all tools I have come across have allowed you to integrate using your Twitter account.

The success of Twitter has also come to the Ericsson cellphone. My new Zylo allows me to update to Twitter directly as I have taken a photo from the camera. Similarly, I can update Facebook straight away. But you must be aware that the costs involved in sending through the data services of network suppliers can be rather expensive so reducing the size of the image can be a good idea to reduce the amount it costs you to enjoy that type of leisure. On the other hand, however, you also get the extra flexibility of not having to wait until you come home before you can update on Twitter.

The future of photo sharing is promising to say the very least. Nothing is sacred anymore, and people can be updated all over the world within minutes when exciting things happen, and it truly brings Twitter into the field of where things are happening.

The tools I have listed above all run within the internet browser so they can be used by everyone regardless of whether you use Windows, Linux or an Apple Mac computer. Freedom of choice has been instrumental in getting as big a group of users as possible, and all of the above should be on the market for many years to come as people continue sharing pictures on Twitter.

Quick and Dirty Guide to Wood Flooring

If you've always longed for hardwood floors, you're in good company. While soft wooden floors date back to the Colonial era, hardwood floors first burst on the scene in the late 17th century. If you only know that you want hardwood floors gracing your home, read this quick and dirty guide so that your head won't spin when you talk with your contractor. This ten-minute read will guide you through the basics of wood species, grades, types and styles.

Wood Species

With over 50 wood species available for wood flooring, red oak accounts for more than 50% of hard wood flooring sales. Its popularity stems from its elegance, durability and cost-effectiveness. Maple ranks second in popularity for new wood flooring. Newer trends indicate a growing appetite for bamboo, cherry, and white oak. Some of the more esoteric imported woods used in hardwood floors include Brazilian cherry, Australian cypress, African padauk, and Burmese teak.

Color options are plentiful. If color is a priority, and you want the natural beauty of the wood to shine through, select a wood species that most closely matches your color preference.

Wood Grades

Grade refers only to the beauty of the wood, not to its durability or serviceability. Not every grade applies to every wood species. A wood species is graded as Clear, Select or Common, or it is graded as First, Second or Third. Clear/First, Select/Second, Common/Third grades are not identical, but they are close enough to present a shared consumer definition. The six basic wood grades include:

-Clear or First - free from most visible defects and discoloration, contains only minor visible imperfections

-Select or Second - may contain slight imperfections, such as color variations

-Common or Third - contains knots and color variations, often classified as "rustic" wood

Solid vs. Engineered Wood

Many people believe that hardwood and solid wood are synonymous. They're not. If you're hearing the term engineered wood for the first time, you most likely think that it is somehow inferior to solid wood. That's not necessarily true.

Solid wood is milled from one solid ¾" piece of wood. Solid hardwood floors expand and contract more than engineered woods and are particularly susceptible to moisture. As the wood expands and contracts, it may buckle or it may leave gaps. Two common methods of counteracting these gaps include beveled edges and leaving expansion gaps--gaps between the wood and the wall--hidden by the base molding.

You'll find most of the popular wood species, such as oak, maple, cherry and others available in engineered wood. Sometimes called pressed wood, engineered wood comes in 3-ply or 5-ply versions--three or five bonded layers of wood. Engineered wood floors succumb to little, if any expansion and contraction and are perfectly suited for rooms susceptible to moisture. If you want wood floors in the bathroom, the kitchen or in any room where moisture accumulates, consider engineered wood for its greater stability. If you plan to lay a wood floor directly over concrete, you must install engineered wood to maintain structural integrity.

Wood Styles

Once you've determined the species, wood grade and decided between solid and engineered wood, you can move on to the fun stuff--the style. Common wood styles include:

-Parquet

-Plank

-Strip

Strips and planks are long, linear cuts of woods. The main difference is the width of the wood. Strips range from widths of 1 ½" to 2 ¼", while planks range from widths of 3" to 8". Consider strips if your goal is to create the illusion of a larger room. Series of small wood pieces create parquet's geometrical design. Parquet floors complement large, airy rooms.

Select your hardwood floors with care; they can add beauty and warmth to your surroundings for a very long time, even a lifetime.

Melaka A'Famosa Resort Animal Safari And Cowboy Town

Melaka is a worth destination to visit for families. One of the main attractions that I would like to introduce when you are in Melaka is the famous A'Famosa Resort Animal Safari and its unique Cowboy Town.

Situated on a 1300-acre site in Alor Gajah, surrounded by rolling hills and a lush countryside of Melaka, A'Famosa is a getaway which will leave you totally refreshed and rejuvenated.

One of the best things about A'Famosa is its strategic location off the North-South Highway- just half an hour's drive from historic Melaka city, 45 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and about an hour from Kuala Lumpur. The resort is also extremely popular with Singaporeans as it only takes two hours by road to go there from the Lion City. An alternative mode of travel is via rail, alighting at the Tampin Railway Station which is just a 10-minute taxi ride away.

Hold tight, as you sit in the caged truck. The Animal Safari is about to begin. Melaka's Animal Safari is the only safari park in Malaysia, where you can see wild animals like tigers, lions and sunbears closed-up in the open as the truck stop right next to them. Barbary sheep, deer, camels, zebras, giraffes and ostriches roam freely in the open. There are also elephant and bird shows to entertain you, to add to the adventure, you can enjoy elephant, camel and pony rides. At the walk through area you will see Tanzanian flamingos, black and white swans, Australian Bennett wallabies, North American raccoons and the Malaysian black and white tapirs. Don't miss the dairy farm that house fluffy chicks, kittens, puppies and ducks.

Only in the evening, Melaka's only Cowboy Town comes alive. There are food outlets serving local and western food, live bands and children's park. At the open area features cowboys and Apaches in stunt acts and trick horse riding. For lasting memory, have your family photo taken at the Digital Photoshop Conner in Cowboy outfit or get your face painted.
